Local Food System Strategic Plan for North Kohala

North Kohala, a community of about 6, 500 people on the Island of Hawaii has an ambitious goal to localize its food system and to produce 50% of its own food by 2018. Today, we are proudly releasing our community-based plan to achieve this goal: Growing a Local Food System in North Kohala—Planning for 50% Food Self-Sufficiency. The planning process and document production was supported by the County of Hawaii, Kaiser Permanente and Local Initiatives Fund of RSF Social Finance.
