theresaWe’re loving local foods at the Kohala Elementary School Discovery Garden!  Bring your gear and help out in the garden, then enjoy a cooking demonstration led by Theresa Koenig, a local private chef and Kohala Elementary School mom of two.  Theresa will show us how to prepare healthy, kid-friendly cassava and sweet potato patties with dips made from garden-fresh ingredients!

In addition to the work party and cooking demonstration, County of Hawaii recycling specialist Susan Cox will also lead a composting mini-workshop at this event.

Susan will bring a limited number of composters to give away to workshop participants.  To receive a FREE composter, please call Karla at (808) 224-1404 or email her at karla@andreadean.com. You must be present at the workshop to receive a composter.
