Vivienne AronowitzJoin Vivienne Aronowitz for a guided shopping tour of the Waimea Homestead and Parker School Farmers Markets.  Be inspired by the wonderful fresh offerings then bring them to the Waimea Guest House, home of the Waimea Events Salon, to prepare into a delicious healthy feast that you can easily replicate at home.  Vivienne will share nutrition insights on the recipes prepared and give tips on how to quickly prepare healthy meals using locally grown ingredients any day of the week.

Vivienne Aronowitz M.P.H., R.D. is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator.  Vivienne graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a masters degree in Public Health Nutrition.  She works for Kaiser Permanente, consulting to several agencies and businesses on nutrition, and working with individuals and  groups to help them progress in their health journeys.  Vivienne loves to cook, and weaves her interest in food and different cultures to find innovative ideas and practical solutions to nutrition challenges.  She is the coauthor of the Healthwise Quantity Cookbook and is currently President of the Board of Mala’ai, the culinary garden of Waimea Middle School.

Class will meet at the Waimea Homestead Farmers Market (located at the Kuhio Hale West Hawaii Office of Department of Hawaiian Homelands, on Hwy 19 next to the 55 mile marker).
